The Naturally Whit’s Story

      Thank you for visiting! At Naturally Whit's you will find no hidden chemicals, artificial colorants or questionable ingredients. Our products work with your skin’s natural ability to heal without clogging pores and prolonging the healing time.                                                                                    Our founder, Whit, received her first tattoo in 1993 and was told to use a petroleum based aftercare product to treat it. Her thoughts were “why should I clog this beautiful tattoo with a petroleum based product?” She discovered there were no tattoo-specific aftercare alternatives on the market that provided an affordable, natural healing aftercare product.

Whit decided to take matters into her own hands. She consulted with  tattoo experts, health care givers, holistic healers, gardeners, doctors, and anyone who had knowledge and an opinion to begin her extensive research into healing properties of different ingredients. After many months and many trials, Whit developed her own non-petroleum healing salve.

Thus blossomed Tattoo Lube, the first 100% natural, good-for-you, aftercare product specifically designed for the tattoo market.

Once Whit had developed the perfect all natural healing product, she created a home-based production center, designed her first logo, and set out for the library for lists of tattoo studios and stores that carry tattoo aftercare products. She sent them samples and information about the product she had developed. The response was overwhelmingly positive and the orders started coming in. Whit incorporated as Bald Ledge Botanicals that year in her small rural cabin in New England and marketed Tattoo Lube, the first original, all natural tattoo care ointment on the market.

Six years went by with tremendous success and a need was discovered for a new product: Aftercare for permanent makeup specifically for highly sensitive skin and areas such as lips and eyebrows. Whit’s Finishing Touch was the answer.

In 2008, Whit developed a new, more general, product geared toward the soothing and healing of all irritated, uncomfortable skin, including rashes, eczema, chafing, cracked areas, diaper rash, as well as a comforting personal lubricant: The Bottom Line.                                      No need to get a tattoo or permanent makeup to use this product—it is chock full of good, safe, health promoting ingredients to nurture your skin and help you look and feel great.
